SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - A registered sex offender is accused of trying to lure children into his car around 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning in Shelby Township.
Students told a bus driver that the man approached a 14-year-old girl walking to the bus stop. When she got to the bus stop she warned other students about what happened.
When the bus driver showed up he called police who found the man in his Cadillac Seville at the Crystal Lakes Apartment Complex on 23 Mile Road.
Officers confronted the Ferndale man and found out he was a registered sex offender.
The students were taken to Malow Jr. High School, where they were able to be interviewed by the police officers.
