WIXOM, Mich (wxyz) - The reward for the I-96 shooter is up to $12,000 and the mayor of Wixom says "we will find him and bring him to justice."

Crime Stoppers of Mid-Michigan increased the award again on Wednesday.

The task force investigating the 22 shooting incidents has received more than 250 tips so far and they have even questioned some people who look similar to the composite sketch of the suspect.

That composite was put together by witnesses that say they saw the shooter firing out of a moving car at other moving vehicles.

The Oakland County Sheriff's forensic lab linked bullets and bullet fragments from seven incidents to the same handgun.

No one has been injured so far, but there have been close calls-- bullets missing drivers by inches.

People in the four counties: Oakland, Livingston, Ingham and Shiawasee have been very concerned.

"I hope they catch him sooner rather than later," said a woman in Wixom.
