(WXYZ) - Road crews across metro Detroit are preparing for the morning commute. They're laying down salt in all areas, but in frigid temps it doesn't work as well.
"Salt is ineffective under 20 degrees...if it looks like it's slick, it is slick," said Gary Flounory of the Oakland County Road Commission.
