(WXYZ) - Our friend Robin Roberts returned to Good Morning America Wednesday morning!

Roberts was out on a medical leave since early September after being diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome or MDS, a rare blood disorder.

Roberts received a bone marrow transplant from her sister Sally-Ann and spent her time off recovering at home.

During her recovery, Roberts made a live appearance on GMA from her New York City home.

Roberts had been going through dry runs on the GMA set and readjusting to her old surroundings in the weeks leading up to her return.
