Federal Trade Commission warns of small business email scam

(WXYZ) - The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is warning small businesses about an email scam.

They say a false email is going around claiming the FTC has filed a consumer complaint. The email contains the subject line "Notification of consumer complaint."

If you receive this email the FTC recommends you delete immediately and avoid opening it.

They also say not to worry; there is no complaint against your small business.
