Apple unveils new iPhone 5 and other products

(WXYZ) - It's official! Apple has unveiled the iPhone 5. The features of the new iPhone were described in an event in San Francisco.

Apple's new iPhone will be twice as fast as the iPhone 4S, has a wider screen and has LTE with better battery life.

The iPhone 5 will also have enhanced camera features, including better low-light capability.

Pricing starts at $199 for 16 gig, $299 for 32 gb and $399 for 64 gb.

iPhone 3GS has been phased out.

Apple's latest operating system iOS 6 will be available for installation September 19.

The lineup is now iPhone 4, 4S and 5. Preorders for the iPhone 5 start Friday, September 14 and will be available in stores September 21.
