(WXYZ) - Black Friday shopping has never been for the faint of heart but now it's a little less intimidating thanks to a number of mobile apps.
This holiday shopping season the National Retail Federation calls for a modest sales rise of just 4% in-stores. However the industry predicts a strong growth of at least 12% online.
The right mobile apps like TheFind and GiftsHD can make either shopping experience a lot more efficient, hassle-free and enjoyable.
TheFind allows users to scan products to locate the cheapest item both in their vicinity and online. Not only does the app alert you to free shipping deals but it syncs with the website, so you can shop at home.
GiftsHD allows every family member with a smartphone to manage the family wish list. The app lets you keep track of items purchased, collaborate on a budget and keep a running tally of money spent.
