Small plane crashes into an Atlas Township home injuring two people

ATLAS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Genesee County Sheriff's Department has confirmed that a small Ultralight plane crashed into the deck of a home this afternoon.

The accident happened in Atlas Township around 3 p.m.

A man in his 50s and a young girl suffered minor injuries from the crash.

The home at 9400 Island Drive, near Shinagaug Lake, had it's back deck damaged and windows broken from the crash. The plane was severely damaged.

Emergency response crews were on the scene.
