ROMULUS, Mich. (WXYZ) - Southwest Airlines is giving Detroiters another option to get to Sin City.
The airline will add a direct route between Detroit and Las Vegas beginning Sept. 30, 2012.
To celebrate the new service, Southwest is giving passengers a promotion that's pretty hard to pass up.
Now, through Feb. 27, people can book a flight for just $99. However, there are a couple of strings attached to the cheap fare.
The $99 price tag is not for a round-trip flight. The discounted price is only good for one-way.
Also, those hoping to hit the Vegas Strip would have to travel between Sept. 30, 2012 and Nov. 2, 2012 in order to receive the special price.
The new Southwest schedule is expected to add one outbound and one inbound flight per day between Detroit and Las Vegas.
