DETROIT (AP) - A man who told police his 2-year-old daughter was kidnapped during a carjacking last week is asking people to keep searching for her.
D'Andre Lane told WWJ-AM on Thursday morning he just wants Bianca Jones home. He says: "Please, please don't stop looking."
Police and volunteers have searched the Detroit neighborhood where Bianca lives and where Lane claims he was carjacked last Friday morning while she sat in a rear car seat. The car was found that day, but she was not in it.
Lane has said he believes police are looking at him as "suspect number one" in her disappearance. Police have said his story was under scrutiny. He reiterated to the radio station Thursday that he's "done nothing wrong" in the case.
The search was to continue Thursday.
