ROYAL OAK, Mich. (AP) - Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to attend a Democratic fundraiser in southeast Michigan today.

According to U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow campaign spokesman Cullen Schwarz Clinton is to be in Royal Oak on Friday afternoon.

Schwarz says the private fundraiser is designed to "support get-out-the-vote and voter protection efforts across the state."

Clinton will attend the private fundraiser at the private residence of businessman Michael Chetcuti and Kyle Evans. The event is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.

Stabenow is running for a third Senate term. The Lansing Democrat faces Republican Pete Hoekstra of Holland in next month's general election.

Tickets are $1,000 or $2,500 to hear Clinton's keynote. Tickets for the cocktail reception run $10,000 a ticket.

Those interested in purchasing tickets can email Michael Chetcuti at Michaelchetcutidesign@yahoo.com
