FRANKENMUTH, Mich. (AP) - Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney is visiting small cities in Michigan today.

The former Massachusetts governor and Michigan native visited the Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth Tuesday morning.

Romney will make an early-afternoon stop in DeWitt at the Sweetie-licious Bakery Café followed by an evening rally at Holland State Park in southwestern Michigan.

The visit is part of Romney's first traditional campaign trip of the general election, a six-state trek by bus. It's aimed at swaying undecided voters living outside America's big cities.

Romney is planning to roll through small cities and towns over five days on his "Every Town Counts" tour, which begins Friday in New Hampshire.
