Doctor stabbed by patient at Lansing hospital

LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a doctor was treated for minor injuries after being stabbed in the neck by a patient at a Lansing hospital.

The stabbing happened about midnight Friday at Sparrow Hospital. The doctor was treated and released from the hospital. The patient was taken into custody.

Officials say the patient was getting a mental health evaluation. Charges also could be brought in the attack.
