LANSING, Mich. (WXYZ) - Michigan Governor Rick Snyder has announced that Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services Director Kevin Clinton has been named as the state's new treasurer.
Clinton will replace Andy Dillon who announced his resignation last week .
Dillon cited personal reasons related to his divorce in his resignation. He will assist in the transition to Clinton.
“Kevin Clinton is an experienced and capable leader with a track record of success. I am confident he will serve the Department of Treasury and the people of our great state well as we continue our work to reinvent Michigan,” Snyder said in a news release.
Snyder also announced that Ann Flood will replace Clinton as head of the state Department of Insurance and Financial Services.
