STUDY: Michiganders support for same-sex marriage up

(WXYZ) - Support for same sex marriage is growing in Michigan, according to a new study.

A Michigan State University study finds there has been a shift in opinion on this issues over the past few years.

Researchers asked more than 1,000 adults how they felt about same-sex marriage:

  • 56% said they support it
  • 39% said they are against it

The remaining individuals polled said they were undecided.

In 2010 only 48% said they supported same-sex marriage and 51% said they were against it.
