DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit firefighters and police are investigating a fatal house fire that broke out on the city's west side Tuesday morning.

Authorities were called to the scene on Ivanhoe and Beechwood St. around 2:45 a.m. where they discovered a burning body hanging half-way outside the abandoned home.

The victim's death is being called suspicious by police and a homicide unit was called in to investigate.

Officials say it appears as if the man was killed somewhere else and left at the scene.
