(WXYZ) - Westland police say a 17-year-old student was hit by a van on Monday after the vehicle was apparently trying to go around a school bus.
The van hit the teen near a bus stop at Cherry Hill and Venoy and then ran into a tree, according to police.
The van has “American Painting” on the side.
