MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. (WXYZ) - Three men are arrested after allegedly robbing a Jared’s Jewelry in Madison Heights at gunpoint. The suspects apparently posed as customers before drawing their weapons.

Officers were called to the Jared’s on 14 Mile near I-75 Sunday afternoon after employees fled the store. We’re told the men with guns forced some of the workers out and demanded money and jewels from the others.

The employees ran to a nearby cell phone store and called for help. The suspects were reported to have escaped in a white Chevy trailblazer.

Officers from Madison Heights and Detroit were both on the lookout. Police located the alleged getaway vehicle in the area of 7 Mile and I-75 where a pursuit began. The suspects eventually got out of the suv and ran.

Police were able to track down the alleged gunmen. No one was injured.
