(WXYZ) - Using a hashtag to buy products on Twitter?
Yes, it's now a possibility. American Express has announced a partnership with Twitter to let their cardmembers buy products using the social media site.
Customers can now sync their cards with Twitter then use a hashtag to buy gift cards and products from Amazon, Sony, Urban Zen and Xbox.
To get things started American Express will sell you a $25 gift certificate for just $15 by tweeting the hashtag #buyamexgiftcard25.
Cardmembers can sync their cards to Twitter by visiting sync.americanexpress.com/twitter .
