(WXYZ) - Pontiac's cash strapped school district closed several schools in 2009, including Pontiac Central.
Since then, vandals have been picking apart the old high school.
Members of the Pontiac Central Alumni group are upset with school officials over how they handled the closing process.
They say sensitive files were left inside, along with supplies, and precious items documenting the school's rich history.
And it's being destroyed.
School officials declined to talk with Action News on camera, but say they will have someone secure the high school and meet with members of the alumni group about preserving some of the school's treasures left behind.
