(WXYZ) - A University of Texas student managed to walk away after being hit by a bus.

WATCH VIDEO BELOW.

The YouTube video shows a number of students, many playing with foam swords, getting ready to take part in an end of the semester tradition at the university.

That's when one Longhorn student ventured out onto the road without realizing, or looking at what was coming.

Engineering student Nick Engmann stepped into the path of an oncoming bus that had just ran a red light.

The video shows the bus striking the student, sending him several feet.

Surprisingly, he only suffered minor injuries.
