The holidays are quickly approaching, and unfortunately one out of every eight people in Michigan will need emergency help getting food this year.
WXYZ-TV and Art Van Furniture have teamed up once again to make a difference in the fight against hunger in Metro Detroit.
"Together We Can” is a mission to support the Gleaners Community Food Bank .
Starting Sunday, donations of canned goods and non perishable food items can be dropped off at any of the 17 Art Van Furniture locations throughout Metro Detroit .
"The need in our community has never been greater," said Ed Fernandez, WXYZ-TV Vice-President and General Manager. "WXYZ-TV is proud to sponsor this event and to help make a difference in the lives of those in need in our community."
