It's official: Tigers to take on the Yankees in the American League Championship Series

Major League Baseball announced the dates and times for the American League Championship Series Friday afternoon, before the Tigers opponent was determined.

The best-of-seven series to determine the American League champion between the New York Yankees and the Detroit Tigers will be played on the following days:

Game 1 - Saturday, October 13 - 8:07pm
Game 2 - Sunday, October 14 - 4:07pm
Game 3 - Tuesday, October 16 - 8:07pm
Game 4 - Wednesday, October 17 - 8:07pm
Game 5 - Thursday, October 18 - 4:07pm
Game 6 - Saturday, October 20 - 8:07pm
Game 7 - Sunday, October 21 - 8:15pm

Games 5 through 7 will only be played if necessary.

The Tigers will open the ALCS in New York. 

All games will be broadcast live on TBS Sports.
