DETROIT - Detroit right-hander Doug Fister has been experiencing tightness in his right groin and is not sure if he'll make his next start.
Fister is 7-8 with a 3.67 ERA this year, and he already missed time around the beginning of the season with a side strain.
Fister says he started noticing a problem while warming up for his last start, Sunday against Baltimore. He pitched
anyway, allowing seven runs in 3 2-3 innings.
He says the injury doesn't affect his ability to push off the rubber, and it didn't get worse during the game. It wasn't too alarming at the time, but it's still giving him trouble.
Trainer Kevin Rand said Tuesday an MRI showed Fister has an adductor strain.
