DETROIT (WXYZ) - Jhonny Peralta will start at left field for the Tigers in Game 3 of the American League Division Series on Monday, Oct. 7 at Comerica Park.
The move comes in wake of a scoreless effort by the Tigers in Game 2 against the Athletics in Oakland, Calif., on Saturday, Oct. 5.
Peralta, who returned from a 50-game suspension that forced him to miss much of August and September, hit for a .303 average with 11 home runs in his shortened season.
The former-shortstop comes back in a new role for his team as the Tigers will keep Jose Iglesias in the infield.
Game 3 of the ALDS is set to start at 1:07 p.m. on Monday.
