(WXYZ) - Prince Fielder has been named the American League Player of the Week.
The Tigers first baseman batted .632 with four doubles, two home runs, 11 RBI, and five runs scored in six games last week.
Fielder hit a home run in the Tigers first two games against Oakland last week, the second leading to a 7-3 Detroit win.
He led the Major League in batting average, RBI, and slugging percentage during the seven-day span ending April 14.
The award is the fifth in Fielder's career, and the first since he has joined the Tigers.
