The Tigers have debuted their new batting practice hats during the first days of Spring Training. It's part of an entire Major League overhaul of the practice caps announced in December of last year.

The new hats give players "a truer bill," according to pitcher Max Scherzer.
During home pregame workouts, they will wear blue hats with a white front panel and a blue Old English D that is outlined in white. On the road, they'll wear gray hats with a blue Old English D outlined in orange. Both hats have blue bills.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the team wore the home version. Thursday was the first time they trotted out the road gray option.
The Tigers are only one of six MLB teams with two separate hats.
