DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Tigers sent Danny Worth to Triple-A Toledo, which means Detroit has finalized its roster to 25 for Opening Day.
Tigers skipper Jim Leyland said that Worth has looked like a big-leaguer during spring training. Worth hit .333 with six RBI, nine walks and nine strikeouts this spring.
The final roster spot went to Ramon Santiago.
Detroit pitching ace Justin Verlander will get the nod in the Tigers season-opener in Minneapolis on Monday, April 1 at 4:10 p.m.
