Former Michigan guard Trey Burke was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves and dealt to the Utah Jazz as part of a wild first ten selections in the NBA Draft.
One selection after the Pistons selected Kentavious Caldwell-Pope with the eighth pick, Burke was picked by Minnesota. Before he was able to break in his Timberwolves cap, Burke was quickly dealt to the Jazz in exchange for the 14th and 21st pick in the first round.
Burke told ESPN after the selection, but before the trade was announced, "I wouldn't be here without my family and without my supporters so I want to thank them and I want to thank God first and foremost."
