Central Michigan earns bid to Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl

Central Michigan will face Western Kentucky in the 2012 Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl on December 26 in Detroit.

The Chippewas finished the regular season with a 6-6 record that was highlighted by a win over Iowa in September.  The Chips won the final three games of the season to get to .500 and will face a Hilltoppers squad that brings a 7-5 record to Detroit.

WKU beat Kentucky and Arkansas State in the regular season.

"We're thrilled to be invited and headed back to the Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl.  We've had a wonderful relationship with this bowl in the past," said Central Michigan athletic director David Heeke.  "We're excited to go to Detroit and a tremendous football event.  We expect Chippewa fans to once again come out in support of our University." 

The Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl will be played at 7:30 on December 26 and televised live on ESPN.
