Detroit Lions announce 1st 'Coach's Kickoff'

DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Detroit Lions announce the first-ever Coach's Kickoff to be held as a special Training Camp Event at Ford Field.

It's happening on Sunday August 5 and will feature an autograph session with Lions players, followed by team practice. The evening will conclude with a special concert featuring country music star, Randy Houser.

“I’m a big country music fan so it’s going to be really cool that Lions fans will be able to combine both experiences (music and football) at Ford Field," said head coach Jim Schwartz.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, June 22 on Ticketmaster.com . They can also be purchased by phone at 800-745-3000.

General admission tickets range from $5 for kids to $20 for adults.
