Detroit Mayor Bing bets on Tigers' victory in World Series

(WXYZ) - Detroit Mayor Dave Bing and San Francisco Mayor Edwin Lee have placed a bet with each other on the World Series.

Whoever loses will spend a day of service in the winning mayor's city.

They announced the wager on ESPN Wednesday morning.

During the appearance both men talked up their teams, with Mayor Bing talking about JustinĀ VerlanderĀ and Miguel Cabrera.

The World Series begins tonight at 8:07 p.m. in San Francisco.
