Five Minutes With... Cornelius Bundrage

Man, I feel great. Maybe after I win this fight I can throw the first pitch out at the Tigers game .  Mmmm, yeah.  The IBF world champion is coming.

I beat Cory Spinks once. I'm gonna beat him twice . This time it's gonna be real nice, real nice.

He's gonna come, trying to act like it was a fluke the first time. So the second time he's gonna come better prepared. I heard he's lifting weights. Lifting weights will make you bigger, but I'm gonna kill you.

To be honest though - real talk - I'm the champ of the world. I respect Cory Spinks . He's a five-time world champion.

His daddy, Leon Spinks, beat the great Muhammed Ali. Michael Spinks... he was a world champion.  So I respect their family, but my time is now . I've been working super hard, I've been faithful to God and it's time to shine. I'm going to shine the day of the fight too.

I've been praying, been listening to my coaches. I've got some great coaches. I've been taking a lot of iron pills and I'm stronger than a steroid .

I've been running hard, with a weight vest on. In the summertime people be looking at me like I'm crazy .  It's just the champ of the world y'all, that's all, it's just me.

Mike Jones has a song, "Back then they didn't want me, but I'm hot and they all know me." Back then they didn't want me. They want me now cause I'm hot . I'm at the top, I can't believe it man. I went from "The Contender" to the champ of the world.

The bible says the first should be last and the last should be first. I was the last and now even my man Tom came to interview with me, I must be doing something right . It's game time.

Hey, Channel 7 do it big . They're the only ones I mess with. They come and show me love.  Even when I was down they came to holler at me and put me on Sports Update.

I'm going to Hollywood. They're going to put my name right there in California, it's going to say "K9's Greatest Hits." When you walk past you're going to see Cory Spinks like this... yeah he a bobblehead. June 30, the dog is coming. Don't bark if you can't bite .

He said he's going to beat me up for Don King, but I'm going to beat him up and look at Don King and say what?!

The economy is going to bounce back. That's why I'm not going to move from Detroit. I want to stay in Detroit. Detroit is a great city. We're going through a whole lot. Leave that K2 alone, and come holler at your boy, K9 . Grrrrr. Ruff Ruff.

I told Tommy Hearns, I said, "You may be one of the greatest, but I have the belt now. I'm the latest . They have to know that."

K9 promotions is coming real soon . It's a blessing to be someone like Don King. You ain't got to take a punch and you get all that money. Six to seven more fights and we're going to start getting these brothers in the ring because they deserve a shot. They're being overlooked because other champions are overseas somewhere.
