Three first-timers highlight the Lions list of captains for the 2012-13 season.

Calvin Johnson, Stephen Tulloch and John Wendling were all voted by their teammates as captains of the team, joining Matthew Stafford, Kyle Vanden Bosch and Jason Hanson.

Each of the three main units (offense, defense and special teams) are represented by two players.  While Hanson has been a captain dating back to the coaching days of Rod Marinelli, Wendling received the honor for the first time.

Dominic Raiola has been an offensive captain dating back to the Marinelli days as well, but he was not selected by his teammates this season.
