(WXYZ) - A whole new season of Detroit Lions coverage kicks off with an exciting one-hour, live draft special on Thursday, April 26, from 7-8 p.m. “Before the Snap,” will be hosted by WXYZ sports anchor Tom Leyden and former Lions tight end, NFL analyst Rob Rubick.

The show will include live shots from the Lions Draft party at the Fillmore in downtown Detroit with sports reporter Brad Galli, as well as commentary from an expert panel including NFL broadcast veterans Matt Shepard from WDFN, and Mike Valenti from 97.1 The Ticket, along with Detroit Lions color analyst Jim Brandstatter.

“Before the Snap,” will take viewers inside the draft process with interviews from Lions top executives, including Head Coach Jim Schwartz, President Jim Lewand, and General Manager Martin Mayhew.

We'll be watching and Tim Twentyman from the Detroit Lions will be monitoring viewer comments from the Lions offices in Allen Park. He'll share your views on TV during the special.

Brad Galli will profile Michigan defensive tackle Mike Martin, documenting his journey to the NFL in a conversation with Martin and his former Catholic Central head coach Tom Mach.  

Galli also profiles Joe Long, the Wayne State offensive tackle honored this year as the top lineman in Division II football.
