ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - After facing one of the most dangerous running backs in the game in Adrian Peterson on Sunday, the Lions return home to tackle quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers (6-3). Lions linebacker Stephen Tulloch and the defense know that they will have their hands full come Sunday.
"Rodgers is a very smart quarterback and does so much for that team," Tulloch said.
Green Bay has a plethora of receivers they utilize, which makes limiting the Packers offense even more difficult.
"We've got our work cut out for us this week with the Packers' receivers. If you take one of them away, he'll throw to another," Tulloch said.
Justin Durant added, "We have to try and get as much pressure as we can and try to make him have some errant throws because there's really no weakness in his game."
After playing six of their first nine games on the road, the Lions are more than happy to return to Ford Field for this pivotal NFC North battle.
"It'll be nice for us to get back home and in front of our fans at Ford Field. Hopefully it'll be rocking and will be a huge home field advantage for us," Matthew Stafford, the Lions quarterback, said.
If the Lions hope to turn things around, it won't be an easy task but Stafford knows this team has a lot of fight among everyone.
"We're taking things one game at a time and trying to put a good performance together on Sunday," said Stafford.
With a win, the Lions would move back to .500 on the season, with the Houston Texans looming for a Thanksgiving showdown at 12:30 p.m. at Ford Field.
