Jahvid Best will start training camp on the physically unable to perform list as he continues to recover from a concussion suffered during the 2011 season.
The Lions announced the move less than an hour before the start of the first workout of camp, which was moved to the team's indoor facility this afternoon.
Best was joined on the PUP list by newly-signed tackle Johnathan Scott. Three other players, Ronnell Lewis, Chris Greenwood and Ryan Broyles are also on the PUP list.
Best suffered a concussion when he played at the University of California and while it was never confirmed, it's believed he may have suffered another slight concussion last season during the Lions preseason game against the Cleveland Browns.
Best never returned to the field last year after suffering a concussion against the 49ers in October.
