A team that loves to fish has tied its passion to a good cause as the Lions will host the first annual Kevin VanDam fishing tournament Tuesday, June 12.

The event, hosted at Kensington Metropark in Milford, will be run in conjunction with VanDam, one of the top bass fisherman in the world.

Contestants will have the opportunity to mingle with Lions players and then head out to the water in teams in an effort to hook the five heaviest fish of the day.

Winners will take home prizes and be honored at a casual dinner following the fishing portion of the afternoon.

To sign up and learn more information about the event, visit the Lions web site.
