DETROIT (WXYZ) - According to Yahoo! Sports, Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson has agreed to restructure his contract that has created nearly $3.5 million in cap space for Detroit.
The Lions have reportedly lowered Megatron's base salary from $5 million to $715,000, and will convert the remaining amount of $4.285 million into a signing bonus that will be distributed during the next five seasons.
Johnson was supposed to receive $25 million in compensation this season.
