As ESPN reported Lions running back Jahvid Best is likely to start the season the physically unable to perform list, the team did not have an update on his injury status.
Best, who hasn't played in a game since suffering a concussion against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6 last season, has been on the active, but physcially unable to perform list since training camp began. Should he start the season on the PUP list, he will be ineligible to return to action until Week 7 at the earliest.
"He’s still week-to-week," said Jim Schwartz when asked about Best's status after practice. "You know, he can do a lot of our physical stuff; he’s not cleared for contact. But he’s doing everything in his power to get himself right, but it’s just a matter of time on a lot of those things. But there’s really no updates there.”
The Lions travel to Baltimore tomorrow and face the Ravens Friday night at 8pm.
