Jim Schwartz refutes Colts claims of Ndamukong Suh dancing

ALLEN PARK, Mich. - Ndamukong Suh played arguably his best game of the season against Indianapolis Sunday, but a day later, he's drawing attention for his alleged actions after an injured Colts player went down.

The Indianapolis Star's Bob Kravitz reports "Suh and some other Lions" were dancing and laughing over Winston Justice, who left the game with a concussion.

Justice was "laid out" by Suh on Don Carey's interception of Andrew Luck with 6:40 left in the game.

Colts guard Mike McGlynn said the play was "totally ignorant on their part. Just childish stuff. If that had happened to one of their players, we'd never do something like that. But that's what makes this even sweeter. That's why they lose. I hope they never win another game."

"I don't know if the hit was legal or not, but clearly he was hurt, and they're out there dancing and pointing at him and laughing. Just blatant disrespect. They're good players but there's no room for that. It's disgusting, really," he told the Indianapolis Star.

Monday, Lions head coach Jim Schwartz refuted the claims, saying he looked at the coaches' film and saw nothing to merit claims worthy of an uproar.

“What shows on the coaches’ film is we make an interception with 6 minutes to go, we’re up two scores and it looks like it’s a really great chance to be able to win that game and guys were looking to be able to make blocks, and it goes off after that."

Suh was not flagged on the field for the play, which is something Schwartz pointed out.

“Our guys were rightfully excited. We had a very good pass rush on that. Unlike our other interception, (we) didn’t have any penalties. We’re excited about it. I don’t think anybody’s reveling in anybody being injured or anything like that.”

Suh was fined $30,000 last week for making contact with Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub's groin. That came one year after he was suspended two games for stomping on Evan Dietrich-Smith's arm in the Lions 2011 Thanksgiving loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Sunday, ESPN aired an interview with Suh discussing his play.

"A reputation, in my opinion, is something that's always evolving, and you can't let one particular instance, or one particular act, or even one particular year to say this is this person's reputation. You've got to factor in their whole career and their whole extension of what they've come from and what they've done and really take the facts. Don't just take other people's opinions," Suh said.

During the Lions game against the Atlanta Falcons in October 2011, Matt Ryan suffered an ankle injury. Suh was criticized for taunting Ryan after his injury.
