Former Spartan Greg Jones proposes on field after Super Bowl

(WXYZ) - He got a ring.

And so did she.

Former Michigan State Spartan Greg Jones won a Super Bowl with the Giants Sunday night, and turned the evening into the perfect opportunity to pop the question.

“She was bawling,” Jones told the Newark Star-Ledger.

“I was like, ‘I don’t know how long she’s going to keep crying.’”

The lucky girl? Former Michigan State basketball player Amanda Piechowski, who is now a model.

“She definitely knows how I feel. A speech wasn’t even needed,” he told the paper.

“Just everything we’ve been through together. She’s been here since Day One and she knew me long before everything else."

The sixth-round pick was a defensive and special teams contributor for the Super Bowl champions.

The Giants celebrated their title with a parade in downtown Manhattan Tuesday.
