DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Chicago Bears kept their playoff hopes alive -- for now -- with a 26-24 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday. The Detroit Lions finish the year with eight straight losses ending with a 4-12 record.

4:06pm Game over. The Detroit Lions lose their eight straight game, losing to the the Chicago Bears 26-24, Detroit finishes with a 4-12 record.
3:45pm The Lions tighten things up, Stafford finds Brian Robiskie for the 9 yard touchdown with 7 minutes left in the game, Detroit down 26-24.
3:33pm Once again the Bears can't find the end zone settling on another Olindo Mare field goal, this one from 28 yards out, Chicago takes a 26-17 lead in the fourth quarter.
3:20PM Olindo Mare hits a 28 yard field goal giving Chicago a 23-17 lead.
3:03pm Now in the third quarter, Stafford finds Will Heller in the end zone for a 10 yard strike, Detroit closes the gap, down 20-17.
2:32pm The Lions find the end zone, Stafford hitting his college teammate Kris Durham for a 25 yard touchdown, Detroit trails 20-10 late in the second quarter.
2:23pm Matthew Stafford's pass is picked off by Tim Jennings, which sets up an Olindo Mare 40 yad field goal, Chicago widens their lead, 20-3.
2:12pm Matt Forte runs it in from 1 yard out, Chicago goes up 17-3.
2:10pm Matthew Stafford gets the ball stripped, Julius Peppers recovers it at the Detroit 10 yard line.
1:45pm Second Quarter starts with the Bears still leading 10-3.
1:31pm The Lions Joique Bell fumbles the kickoff, Chicago recovers and ends up with an Olindo Mare 33 yard field goal, Beras now lead 10-3.
1:28pm Jay Cutler hits a wide open Earl Bennett form a 60 yard touchdown, Bears lead 7-3.
1:25pm Jason Hanson nails a 44 yard field goal giving the Lions a 3-0 lead.
1:16pm Calvin Johnson catches his first pass for 18 yards.
