ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WXYZ) - The University of Michigan men's basketball team announced its 2013-2014 non-conference schedule Friday, featuring six home games and six road games.
Prior to the start of the regular season, Michigan will host exhibition games against Concordia on October 29 and Wayne State on November 4.
The Wolverines open regular season play Friday, November 8 against UMass-Lowell. A ceremony will be held before the game honoring the 2013 Final Four team.
Michigan will host South Carolina State on November 12, then travel to Ames, Iowa, to face Iowa State on November 17. The Iowa State game will be nationally televised on ESPN2.
The Wolverines will play three games in San Juan, Puerto Rico, as part of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off tournament. The first game will be November 21 against Long Beach State, followed by matchups on November 22 against Florida State or VCU and November 24 against an opponent to be determined.
Upon the Wolverines' return to Ann Arbor, they'll host Coppin State November 29.
Michigan goes back on the road December 3 for a prime-time clash with Duke in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
The Wolverines will host back-to-back Saturday games against Houston Baptist and Arizona on December 7 and 14, respectively.
On December 21, Michigan will take on Stanford in the Holiday Hoops Invitational at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
To close out the calendar year and the non-conference slate, Holy Cross pays a visit to the Crisler Center December 28.
The full Big Ten conference schedule will be announced at a later date.
