ANN ARBOR - Michigan running back Drake Johnson suffered a torn ACL in the Wolverines win over Central Michigan and will miss the remainder of the 2013 season.
Johnson, a redshirt freshman who played high school football at Ann Arbor Pioneer, ran the ball twice for nine yards in Saturday's 59-9 win and also made one tackle on special teams.
"You just hate it for Drake, but he's as tough as anyone on this football team, and he will make it back from this," said head football coach Brady Hoke. "He worked so hard through his redshirt season and had a really good camp in backing up Fitz (Toussaint), not to mention he was a really valuable special teams player for us."
