The pendulum continues to swing in college basketball and this week, it's Michigan passing Michigan State in the Associated Press poll after the Spartans lost two games.

Michigan played only one game, beating Illinois convincingly to improve to 23-4.  The Wolverines moved to fourth in the poll.

Michigan State lost to top-ranked Indiana at home last Tuesday and lost again Sunday on the road to Ohio State. The two losses left MSU at 22-6 and ranked ninth.

Indiana received 64 of 64 first place votes to retain the top spot, followed by Gonzaga and Duke.  Miami is ranked fifth, followed by Kansas, Georgetown and Florida.

Michigan travels to Penn State on Wednesday before returning home to face Michigan State Sunday afternoon.  The Spartans are off until next Sunday's showdown in Ann Arbor.
