Mike Modano has been out of the Wings lineup since November 27, missing 12 weeks after wrist tendon surgery. On Saturday he hopes to return to the lineup.
Modano has been skating for a couple of weeks now and feels his wrist has healed enough for him to begin playing again Saturday night at Buffalo.
It has been a frustrating first season with the Wings for Modano, who signed with the team after 20 great years with the Dallas Stars.
The Westland native feels he can be ready for the Stanley Cup playoffs by playing and playing well in the Wings final 21 regular season games.
