ORLANDO - The Detroit Pistons opened up Summer League play with a 76-72 win over the Utah Jazz.

Rookie Kim English led the Pistons with 18 points. The former University of Missouri Tiger was 5 for 9 from the field, including going 3 for 4 from beyond the arc.

First round draft pick Andre Drummond had 8 points, 5 boards and 2 blocks in his Pistons debut.

Second year point guard Brandon Knight added 17 points in the win.

The Pistons trailed by 9 heading into the half, but an explosive third quarter helped the team overpower a Jazz run at the end of the game.

The Pistons play the Orlando Magic on Tuesday at 3:00 pm. That game, and all other Summer League games, can be seen on NBATV.
