Hockey Hall of Famer Ted Lindsay chatted with Tom Leyden about the award recently named after him by the NHLPA and his upcoming charity golf event.
What was known as the Lester Pearson Award, presented each year to the league most valuable player as voted by the players, has been re-named the Ted Lindsay Award.
Lindsay was instrumental in forming the NHL Players Association when he played for the Red Wings. Without his leadership, the NHLPA would not have taken off when it did.
Ted is also very active in the fight against Autism and he's hosting his 10th Annual charity golf tournament September 13, 2010 at Wabeek Country Club.
