(WXYZ) - Justin Verlander wants to hang out with you.
Tuesday, the Tigers starter solicited donations to the 'Wins for Warriors' initiative he launched last week, with this tweet:
The top three donors will get to watch batting practice and hang out with Verlander on the field before a 2014 game.
The CrowdRise campaign is self-explanatory; you put up the money and Verlander matches it. The sum benefits his 'Wins for Warriors' project which "supports the mental health and emotional well-being of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their families in Detroit, Richmond, Va., and Norfolk, Va.," according to his website .
Plus, a donation of $35 or more between September 2 and September 8 at 11 p.m. makes you eligible to win two tickets to a 2014 Tigers Game.
Verlander launched the effort to aid veterans with a $1 million donation Wednesday.
